NRL player Dylan Walker yanked his partner’s hair in front of neighbours while she was carrying their infant after an argument over a video game, a court has heard.

The Manly Sea Eagles centre’s fiancee Alex Ivkovic was heard crying in a recording the day Mr Walker was arrested in an alleged domestic violence incident last December.
In a triple-0 call, Ms Ivkovic said Mr Walker pulled her hair, causing her to fall onto a concrete driveway while she held their four-month-old infant.
The 24-year-old said the argument started when she interupted him while he was playing a video game.
“He was playing PlayStation [and] I asked if he wanted a fork or spoon with his dinner and then he started screaming and tried to take the baby,” she said in a recording.
“[He] pulled my hair and I fell down while holding my baby.
“He’s scaring me, he’s physically aggressive — I can’t be alone with him while he is like this.”
The court heard a neighbour, Lauren O’Sullivan, witnessed the alleged altercation and invited Ms Ivkovic into her home.
“I saw him yank her ponytail very hard and I saw her fall to the ground on the driveway,” Ms O’Sullivan said.
“When he pulled her hair it was enough for me to be very distressed.
“She fell down and it was awkward because she was holding the infant, she was trying to protect her baby so sort of rolled as well.”
Ms O’Sullivan told the court Mr Walker had come out yelling for his partner to get back inside, but she refused.
“He told us to ‘f*** off and mind your own business’ but I said you need to leave her alone,” she said.
Ms O’Sullivan said Ms Ivkovic had bloody grazes to her shoulder, knee and foot from the fall.
The couple appeared in court separately this morning — former Sea Eagles players John Hopoate and Matt Ballin came to support Mr Walker.
The Manly centre played in a trial game on Saturday against the Cronulla Sharks.
He is expected to play in this Saturday’s trial against the Roosters, ahead of the first round of the NRL season against the West Tigers.
