A Queensland Ambulance Service paramedic has died after an ambulance crashed in North Queensland this morning.
Emergency crews were called to Mackay-Eungella Road in Benholme, west of Mackay, around 8:00am after reports the vehicle had left the road, rolled several times and hit a tree.
The 32-year-old man was the only occupant and was responding to a code-1 emergency at the time of the crash.
Authorities worked to save him but he died at the scene.
