Car crash video shows BMW launched into tunnel ceiling

Slovakian police have released video of a spectacular single-car crash which shows a BMW being launched into the air off a concrete barrier and hitting the top of a tunnel.

Despite images showing extensive damage to the vehicle, which crashed into the road after hitting the tunnel roof, police said the 44-year-old driver did not sustain serious injuries from the crash.

The footage, which has received 1.9 million views on the official Policia Slovenskej Republiky Facebook account, was taken near Poprad, Slovakia on December 20.

Slovakian police said the driver, from Bardejov, passed a breathalyser test and was the sole occupant of the car.
