Detectives were called to the house on Davallia Road in Duncraig about 10:00pm yesterday after reports a 68-year-old man had been in a fight with a younger man at the address.
The 68-year-old was taken to Royal Perth Hospital but died a short time later.

A police spokesman confirmed the two men knew each other but were not related.
Victim ‘seemed OK’: witness
Lou Rigney was visiting his family from the United States when he heard a commotion at the house across the road.
“We were sitting in the living room and enjoying the evening, and we heard a commotion out here and saw the sirens and what-not,” he said.
“We came out, and my sister-in-law went over across the street to speak to the police but they had taken a man out on a gurney and loaded him into the ambulance and he seemed like he was OK.
“He had an IV connected to him and they didn’t seem like there was a big sense of urgency, so we figured he was going to be OK.

“Then they were rushing to and from the house, I guess there was another person involved, and they arrested him and took the gentleman off to the hospital.”
Mr Rigney said the incident was a concerning thing to happen, particularly at this time of year.
“We haven’t even spoken to [our kids] about it so it’s kind of keeping it under the rug so to speak,” he said.
“It’s very scary … the fact our kids are riding their bikes and skateboarding and what-not out here, and something like this could happen, it’s very unfortunate.”
